Thought you guys would be interested. ( pulled this from another site)
The action is a 6 lug design using two sets of three lugs giving it a short 60 deg bolt lift , it uses remington trigger and bottom metal.

No idea of when a long action will be available
Cost is about $980 US dollars

Interesting, given the manufacturer, but it's worthless until we see hard data. I wonder if we could nominate a top CGN shooter for beta testing?

They had me right up to the BS Weatherby-style multiple rows of lugs. Makes the bolt longer than need be and a real ####e to lap. 3 lugs is a grand idea though...but only one row of them please!

Friend of mine in the USA already has his in hand. It's an awesome piece of kit, and he owns quality stuff bar none.

He's going to build a quick change barrel set-up as well.

Cheers, Carl

I like the price point for a custom action. I don't know how it compares against the surgeons, bats, etc. but at sub 1k US for an action with integrated rail, oversized bolt knob and what looks like recoil lugs. It appears to be a good deal.

I loved it until I saw the porcupine bolt. I wouln't touch that with a ten foot pole for F-Class.

I agree, nothing more than a 2 lug bolt for me. Its been proven the most accurate in BR and F class circles. In the early day's of the Coyote and Timberwolf, Ross was concidering a 3 lug's in the front. Rick and I quickly talked him out of it.

Aren't there a couple of top ranking match actions made overseas that use 3 and 4 lugs?????

If I remember correctly, these have done superbly in many shooting disciplines including Palma.

I have no issue with multilug bolts IF the manf has taken the time to manf the receiver recesses appropriately.

As this is a 'custom' higher dollar product, that level of tolerance should be a given.

No one seems to complain about AI's...

That is One Beautiful Action, already been tested and pass, now waiting for production, I would pay top dollar for something like that!...

When we start comparing tactical actions to benchrest actions, it's an apples & oranges kind of thing, is it not? I'm sure Badger Ordnance built what they felt was a good product for its intended market.

No one complains about A1's becasue they have a reputation for durability on the battlefield and have been very reliable. I've heard people claim the rifles are accurate but there's no one saying they're benchrest capable. Nor were they designed to be.

I would expect the action's tolerances to be very high compared to mass produced factory rifles but not the same class as Nesika or BAT.

Pricing seems very reasonable, especially considering the name engraved on the side.

Who do you suppose will be the first importing dealer into Canada?
