Hey all
I have a new-to-me Baikal 155 coming my way, my wife shouldered one going in the store and was okay with the weighilt but the length of pull was a bit too long.

Anybody know of extra wood stocks that can be cut down or stock from another gun that can fit?

I haven't called Baikal Canada yet, just asking around. Pm or post, thanks

I shortened the wood stock on the MP 133 I owned. It was as simple as measuring cutting and re fitting the pad. I believe that the 133 stock also fits the 153 and 155. I don't know if a synthetic stock can be shortened easily as wood. The 155 has a freaky recoil pad system and does not lend itself to mods.

If I had a Baikal S/G with a too-long wood stock (and no fancy pads), I would cut it in a heartbeat and re-fit the pad... it's not a collectible, just a work-horse. Of course, measure and fit the length and pitch (look it up!) properly! If you have access to a vertical sander (rotating sanding disk at right angles to a flat bed), so much the better - cut 1/16th inch too long and sand to length. The last stock I shortened was on a Browning Citori to take a Morgan pad that was thicker than the factory stock.
No comment on synthetic stocks.
And don't forget... "measure twice, cut once".
Good luck!
Cheers,
Roger
