Baikal 161 firing pin problems

Anyone else have this problem with this gun? the firing pin isn't striking the cartridge hard enough and every 4-5th shot doesn't go off. Even the ones that go off you can see the pin has barely made a dent in the casing. Any ideas how to fix this other than taking it to a gunsmith?

Did you get it new or used? Was it dry fired a lot? Is the pin damaged?

I bought it new. It hasn't been dry fired at all as far as I knowl. I will take it apart today and have a look for damage.
