I went shooting on Saturday; when I left my place I had two guns in the trunk. When I got home, I had three. I guess there was some hanky-panky going on during the trip.
All levity aside, a good friend of the family gave this to me:
The picture does not do it justice: The bluing is worn off a fair bit, and there are patches of rust where this has occurred (I am seriously considering getting it re-blued). The bore is excellent, however. Mechanically it seems to be just fine, though I was a little nervous for the first shot. As it turns out the gun is a great little shooter; it was relatively easy to bust a few clays with it. Even so, it will take some time getting used to manually cocking the hammer, and only having one shot at a time.
It was apparently manufactured during communist rule, as it says USSR on the receiver.
I have tried finding a little history about this model, but have not turned up much. Any insight into this would be much appreciated.
