Question for y'all about an old (1980s or older) Baikal IZH-18M that my dad's friend left for me to fix. The action was stuck, but I was able to... finess it open over my knee and when I got it apart I found that the extractor and extractor channel were super rusty, which in turn had caused it to sieze up. My question is, the pin that holds the extractor in the extractor channel and pushes it out when the action is opened should just be able to be knocked out with a punch, right? I oiled the hell out of it but there's still a load of rust in there and I'd like to clean it out completely and pack it with grease.

Just trying to be helpful. Have you searched the internet for a PDF of the manual?

Yep, I found this manual http://www.eaacorp.com/Manuals/IZH-18-Manual.PDF (PDF warning) and specifically on page 22 there is an exploded view of the part in question. However the gun I have in my possession seems to have a slight variance to the one in the manual as this one does not seem to have the extractor retaining pin, nor is this one spring loaded/have an extractor sear.
