Hopefully, someone who owns this shotgun can help me out here. I bought my MP 153 used, and it came with 4 choke tubes, but no Gas Adjusting wrench. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of one that they could post here so I can see what it looks like, so I can make one,or even better yet if someone knows were I can buy one.

Also, does anyone know were to get a extendable Magazine tube for this shotgun. I read somewere that someone put a extension on from a different shotgun and it worked, but I can't remember what kind of extension it was for, and I can't find the place that I read that.

Its not important, but I will post a picture of my Baikal MP-153. I am looking foward to using it for the upcoming Waterfowl season.

the choke tube wrench is the one you should use to adjust the gas, and i don't think you can put an extension on your mag tube as canadian law limits semi auto's to 5. some one please correct me if i am wrong.

i love my baikal btw.

Yes I know that there is a 3 shot limit for hunting, but for target shooting, I can have as many rounds as I like, thats why I am interested in a Magazine extension. I think I heard that a 870 extention will fit.

Also, the wrench I am looking for is for adjusting the gas valve. It can be done by a screwdriver also, but its not practical thats why I am looking for one to buy, or to just take a look at someones origional one, so I can make one.

Yes there is a 3 shot limit for hunting in Ontario. However there is a 5 shot limit for semi auto shotguns irregardless of whether you are target shooting or not.

and the wrench you are looking for is the choke tube wrench that came with your shotgun. It was designed to both be used for choke tubes and the gas system. I imagine that any choke tube wrench will do.

I actually thought that the 5 round max for the magazine rule was for Centerfire Semi-auto's. I thought that if I wanted to shoot clay pigeons on a farm, I could put on a magazine extension tube on a Shotgun. I will have to look it up now, to make sure I get the right answer. I have always thought that I could buy a mag extension, and load up 8-9 rounds and try to do some Tom Knapp trick shooting.

My choke tubes that came with the Baikal are extended choke tubes and they don't require a tool to tighten them. I believe that the Tool that I am missing is for the Gas Valve adjusting nut.

1) Don't put an extension on your auto shotgun that will increase the mag capacity to greater than five. You are allowed do that on a pump-gun, not a semiauto.

2) Yes, you are talking about the wrench to adjust the gas valve. Most people that have the MP-153 (including me) never need it. But it is a good idea to have one. Contact Baikal Canada, they might have that part for sale.

Thanks for the pics jankovig. I am a machinist, and I am going to mill out a copy of the one that you posted .

I know that I could of make something that would of worked, just as well also but I wanted to make something that was very close to the factory origional.

I will probably give Baikal a Email, and see if I can get the wrench, but if I can't then I will make one.

Thanks again jankovig

If you look up the 800 # on the Baikal Canada site you can buy the wrench for about $7. Not as much fun as making your own, but cheap.
