Baikal MP153 / Remmu SPR453

I want to hear from feedback from owners on how hard it is to get parts for these gun.

I usually replace the o-ring (gas seal) once a year before season opens and where to obtain those and how much?

How often you have to clean the gun to make it reliable without jamming / fail to eject or feed etc?

you must be an 1100/11-87 user... no O ring on this gun, (or any modern semi auto really)
I don't know about parts, but Baikal does have a Canadian depot, 2 of my buddy's have sold them in their shops and sold tons of them and so far I have only heard of one needing a part (extractor)

Cleaning, depends on weather and amount of use, I clean mine every other hunt when crow hunting, we usually shoot about 75 shells a day, in the duck season I basically cleaned it after a dirty day or after shooting black cloud ammo.

I had a couple of fail to load issues with cheap target loads on a cold day but only with cheap shells on cold days and not very often, seems like they occasionally get deformed on loading.

A new Baikal may not like the target loads but after a few hundred rounds, you'll have no issues.

I have owned Remingtons and Brownings and I far prefer the Baikal.

hahaha, can't lie to you about what I've owned before and you hit the nail in the head (LOL).

Yes, I do own several semis beofre including the 1100 and 11-87 and they all requires o-rings and now I am in the market for a new shotgun but seriously considering the 153 or the Stoeger 2000 due to limited budget.

I know the Stoeger has some issue but really like the weight of it (being just under 7 pounds) and inertia operate (less cleaning) but also aware that the 153 has good review and its a 3.5" so just trying to gather as much info as possible to make a selection.

well, my buddy who still is in business selling guns, only ever sold 2 of he stoegers and both were returned with issues. I am told these issues have been resolved but the Baikal is definitely a superior product.

By the way, Savage Harbour Arms in PEI sells them for $475!!!

I know the 2000 is either you love it or hate it and some is really a pain in the ### that's why I am more leaning towards the Baikal.

Do you know when the sale ends?

Just check their web site but could't find the 153 nor the 453.

His website is pathetic and has not been updated since he started it.
This isn't a sale price, it is his regular price, but I can't see it lasting too much longer as he will eventually want to make some money.

He works full time as well, calling him is hit and miss and good luck emailing him.. lol. Phone is best after 6 or weekends.

I've put about 300 shells through my MP-153 without cleaning it. It's been dropped into the mud, dragged through snow and encased in ice hahaha. Still hasn't jammed on me, this shotgun never ceases to amaze me, and when it does eventually malfunction it's going to be a SHOCK.
