Baikal?

Well built. I sold a very nice double 12 to a friend out at Chilliwack last Fall. My grandson picked it up in Calgary and I scooped it on our way to Chilliwack. Beautiful wood.

Baikals are built like tanks. They're heavier and thicker than a British game gun. Generally well regulated
I prefer the ij58 ij54 series.
I have a ij58 in 12ga I used for everything for 10 years. It has well over 80 000 rnds thru it and the only thing that has loosened up is from wear on the hook that the foreend latches on to. I still use it from time to time hunting in less than ideal weather conditions

I had an over and under 12g. It was a cool gun. As already stated built heavy, and machining was kind of crude. The owners manual didn’t have one word off English in it.

There are variances of it - with internal and external hammers. External hammer version which is 43KH is highly sought after. It has removable chokes

I have an older model, the IJ 58 that I inherited from my grandfather. It’s a simple but good SxS. The full choke barrel can dump a squirrel out of the tree at 40 yards. Very satisfying.

Baikal 43KH sxs hammer coach gun 12 gauge - Very well made. Baikal made two types of hammer guns, one with functional hammers that strike the firing pins and ones where the external hammers are used to pull back the internal hammers which strike the internal firing pins. They have hammer forged barrels which are hard chromed. I also had a Bailkal 43IH which I regret selling.
