Anyone out there got any info about Bair Reloading dies?? I bought a box of stuff tonite from a guy and there are 4 sets of Bair dies in the box. They come in a square blue box. He used to have a Bair press and scale ,but he sold the press and is still looking for the scale. Is this brand of stuff worth anything???

Used to have a Bair Shotgun press... worked very well; I managed to find a Ponseness Warren at a fair price or I would still be using the Bair...

Bair was made in Neb. in the late sixtys and early seventys the company takes its name from the fellow who owned it his last name was Bair he owned a foundry machine shop at took a contract to build press dies ect for Pacific after tooling up and suppling the items for some time with no payment forth comming he stuck his own name on the line and sold the stuff himself he made a great o freme press called a Kodiak till about 1974 which I would rate along side the old rcbs A2. his scale ect were all the same as pacific and later Hornadys after the bought pacific in the eightys as for Bair he kept going to about 82 or 83 when he sold the company to someone in Ohio who changed the name to BEAR.
Bairs peak years seamed to be in the early to mid seventys his press and dies top of the line.
