Holy take a pill CROWCA we really need a sarcasm smiley don't we considering your other thread full of your yote kills who am I to call you on your knowlege?.....I was only having some fun but obviously thats lost on your grumpy ass sorry I tried.

On another note I hope your skinning all those yotes out and sending the pelts to auction they are fur bearing mammals you know ;) can't just leave them to rot.

No if it was anyone else I would have assumed that but with our history I was not sure, are we going to forget the past and carry on?
We have a Mennonite boy who skins them and ships to sales, really not worth doing any more.

It is the new year I don't see why we can't let go of the past :yingyang:. I'm sorry CROWCA I never meant any disrespect I read your Coyote hunting posts for advice because I have no luck with them myself.:D

Cheers

Oh and good on you for giving the Mennonite boy some work!

This statement always comes up and has been hashed out before. A yote with mange has no value, a yote shot in the spring with pups in the den, summer or early fall has no value at an auction house sale but it is legal in my part of Ontario to shot them all year. When we ship the hides some do not sell and many will not be sold for enough money to pay the auction house commission or royalty.
So if you see a mangy yote do you shoot it because it will be left to rot and has no value? So is it legal to shoot it?

That brings up the other part of value. When I get my fur cheque I have to claim it as an income on my personnel income tax claim. Now last season we made about $150 for 33 yotes shot. Eight had mange, all but one sold. I burn about $20 a day for gas and that comes to about $800 a season. So now I can claim that as a loss on my income tax. What a great country we live in. I love the meaning of value and I forgot about the other 5 vehicles that hunt with me now thats $4000 in the red. Get ready for my bill Harper.

Crowca can get a bit crusty but when the fur cheque comes in he will soften up.
