I have a bakelite Remington Butt Plate and I am trying to determine what rifle or shotgun it came off and vintage and possible worth.

Worth about 10 or 12 dollars
Could be shotgun or rifle pending dimensions and screw centers since that style had a few different sizes
A guess from just the pick yours is a wingmaster or 760
Did you own those??

Yeah, not unusual to see a different brand buttpate on a gun. I have a Sauer drilling from 1910. It has a modern day Beretta buttplate on it and it fits perfectly and doesn't look like it was altered.

I have a 2 early Model 31 shotguns that have that brown colored butt plate. My 3rd Model 31, a later (1941 series) 16ga, has the black version.

You are right . I totally missed the brown color. Probally a 31 plate but still think value is 10/12 since new repo are only 13.
Dimensions / Sizes for the Remington Models 29-31, 12 Gauge Buttplate;
4 29/32” x 1 11/16”

3 1/8” between screw holes c/c

17/32” from heel to top screw hole
