A few months ago I upgraded to an android "smart" phone: Putting aside the irritations of these things, there are many virtues therein that I thought of when changing plans and providers - A ballistic app was one of these virtues.

Who uses what ballistic app, virtues and faults of said app and is there anything worthwhile or an improvement over my current use online of jbmballistics.com? I'm minded to keep using jbm's calculator as it is reasonably accurate provided the correct data is entered, and it doesn't cost anything. I usually have my phone with me as it is my business contact, but I appreciate the simplicity of a paper chart being kept with the rifle.

I use Shooter on android but will try out Applied Ballistics next just for fun. Some day i'll upgrade the Kestrel 4500 to the bluetooth version as DG recommends.
I find the app tremendously valuable and having the ability to change the atmospherics at will makes it significantly more accurate than paper charts. I haven't touched paper since. An additional benefit is the ballistic truing which is extremely valuable.

Another happy AB user here! I couldn't justify the bluetooth Kestrel but it would be super slick if you have the money. I haven't had any issues plugging weather data in and putting rounds on steel at 1500m with a 260

Whatever he creates will always be ahead of the rest. He's braking new ground in his research, and the results of his work get into his products before anyone else's. For example, he had aerodynamic jump in AB before anyone else did. His work on how stability affects BC will also be integrated into his app before anyone else's.
