If I am placing this in wrong forum I apologize.

Please advice me on ballistic calculator.
Which one is worthy consideration.
Is anyone using iPhone calculator, if yes which one?
What about Quick Target, anyone uses?

Thanks

I have downloaded iSnipe and I like it.
It looks better then my buddy NightForce Ballistic Calculator

Thanks for advice

There is an option in iSnipe entering size of the target. How do I supposed to use it?
Also, that target with over-hold reticle, what is a size of the black ring from edge to edge.

Thanks

I have Isnipe BulletFlight and Ballistic FTE for Ipod

The only thing I like in Isnipe is load data for some factory pistol loads. Interesting but not really used. I'm pretty sure the others don't have any pistol loads.

Ballistic FTE good with a range report thats nice to store data of the place bullets hits on a picture of a target and record scope settings and velocity for each. Good for multiple load data of the same cartridge.

I use BulletFlight all the time and its my favorite. Very easy to use. I feel the best of all of them.

On a laptop I have Quick Load and Quick Target, Sierra Suite 6 and Brian Litz's Applied Ballistic program that came with the book (Point Mass Ballistic solver) Sierra Suite 6 doesn't have ability to use G7 data but has sierra reloadng data.. Quick Target can use all G data, stuff I'm not familiar with bit G7 G8 G2 etc. I only have G7 and G1 data. The nice thing about this one is it can be easily exported to an excel spreadsheet so easy to generate data for a load then put it in a customized chart. I have one for advising custom scope turret rotations.

So for mobile Bulletflight is my recommend. For the Laptop Quick Target or Litz. I'm sure JBM on the internet is great. Hope it Helps.

The new Kestrel 4500 has Horus balistics program integrated. The cool part is that once the basic info is loaded, you can get an instant firing solution based on the exact conditions of THAT moment every time you touch the compute button.
The Horus program also allows you to "FLEX" the computer generated trajectory with what you bullet is REALLY doing.
The balastician from Horus we spoke to at SHOT explained it far better than I have, but the theory seems sound.
Now if only we get some decent shooting weather to go out and try it in the field.....

Please keep us updated on how the new Kestrel performs. An all in one unit would be nice.
