Ballistic chart

I made up a chart and was just wondering for the guys in the know. What are your thoughts and if I was missing anything that would be important or not.

I verified fps at 25 degrees and used a chart from TiborasaurusRex to plot the rest until it gets cooler to get a actual reading for myself at that temp.

I made one for each barometric pressure zone for 30, 29 and 28, which should cover everything in my shooting range from a kestral 2500.

I was thinking of checking out the tipped match kings, if I do Ill make one up for that.

I notice that your adjustments from a 200 yard zero are different based on the current temperature, but wouldn't you need to factor in a correction to your 200 yard zero due to the drop in muzzle velocity in cold temperatures? Using your chart, mv at 25 degrees is about 3230, while at -20 it is 3113. I would think this would effect your zero.

A great start.. now go and use it... then change what needs to get changed.

Then try that again, and adjust again.

There are a ton of other variables that will affect the numbers so don't get too worried if things need to be tweaked. But when things stay consistent for the set up you have under real world testing, you will have confidence in the data.

Thats a good question about the zero at different temps. Ill find that out when it gets colder. Right now its getting hotter.


Already found a few discrepancies in my chart that Ill have to tweak. Im sure Ill find more when I get out past 500 and in different temps aswell.

One thing that Im finding out, is I HATE WIND. lol Last weekend I had a flag @100 going south and another flag @475 going north. Fun stuff lol

Wind is the whole point we bother with ballistics charts.

And the big payoff is doping the winds, dial based off your chart, and dropping a bullet dead center on target.

someone's been watching tiborasaurusrex... am I right? lol... me too, ive been watching his series and taking notes as I go im gonna be working on my charts after I get my loads finalized...

Well it looks like Im going to have to learn some of that voodoo.

Yeah I watched most of a his vids a year ago and spent some time making a little binder with some charts once I got my chrony. I liked how he walked you though most of it.


Now its just some trigger time to bring it all together.
