These guys take an 18 inch barrel, chrony various ammo then they chop it an inch and chrony then repeat all the way down to a 2 inch barrel. They did this for many calibers.

interesting. All in pistol calibres, which I think isn't as useful as testing rifle cartridges where more people shoot a larger variety of barrel lengths than pistols.

Hopefully they will move to rifle rounds in the future. Great info though!
