Recently I picked up 2 boxes of BELL 8x57JS 150gr High Velocity.
Can anyone tell me what the ballistics (muzzle velocity, energy, drop in inches) are on that ammunition? They do not have a chart on the box and I can't find anything on the web. I believe, the ammo is quite old (1999 on box) but should still be okay.
Thanks for the help.

1999 is quite old?

My 8mm is mostly between 1938 and 1944 vintage! (and shoots great). I think 6 year old ammo could be called quite contemporary.

That said, I believe the ammo is manufactured by Igman in Bosnia, you might have some luck looking for thier specs.

Perhaps Districorp might have curves handy?

Cheers,

DT

I can't tell you "scientific" info, but the same stuff shot 16" high of my point of aim out of my Yugo K98k and my Turk. If you are shooting it out of a service Mauser, expect it to hit high....
