anybody know of any free downloadabl ballistics programs? I have a couple of pages bookmarked but would like a downloadable program so I don't need the internet to use it.

www.remington.com has the "Remington Shoot" Program it is what i use. It is simple but works.

Hi All,

I've recently found a new Ballistics app, Gnu Exterior Ballistics Computer, that is Open-Source, Cross-Platform and extremely accurate. When I first came across it, it was only being developed for Windows and Linux but after a little persuading, is now being compiled for Mac OS X as well.

Being a Mac guy, I was a little disappointed to not find any ballistics software built for the Mac platform. Now that GEBC is being developed for OS X, as well as the other platforms, shooting will be much more enjoyable.

I've written a blog post about my journey to get Gnu Ballistics compiled for OS X if anyone is interested, otherwise head over to the sourceforge project site and download your free version of this awesome ballistics app.
