Ballpark Pricing on Colt/Browning

Looked through the EE, but of course when you want to price something, it isn't there. One of our club members has a Colt Series 70 good to very good and a Browning Hi-power that he bought new and has hardly used that should be in excellent condition. Could someone give me ballpark pricing on this. Yes, I know, photos would help, but I don't have the pistols. He is probably going to sell them to another club member, so just wants an idea of what would be fair to both parties.

Can't help much on the Colt but I'd put the BHP in the 750-800 range assuming it's not anything old, special or collectible.

A patient buyer might get a HiPower in condition like that for less than sailor723 suggests. E.g mine sat in the EE for a long time and I'd have given more if I had it but eventually it came down to $650 at which I was able to afford. But if they are both happy at seven or eight they aren't wrong, a HiPower will last long enough to give value in shooting.

650 would be a likely starting point for the hi power. The colt say 8-900, people love the pony....
