Sorry but there is a heck of a lot of threads covering the handgun situation and current state of affairs so…………
Do you see the Liberals banning parts for handguns
Leavenworth

Well, now that you mentioned, they are taking notes as we speak...

I believe there are people hired to relentlessly pursue this goal of eliminating firearm ownership. NOTHING will stop them, not even the law.

They all admit what they are doing is kind of borderline illegal, if not outright illegal, but they go for it anyway. Because the bosses (PM and general public) gave them carte blanche.

Why would you need parts for something that is prohibited? Isn’t that the logic the the government and CBSA use now? They’re already stopping AR parts at the border - even things like handguards and pistol grips that could be used on other unaffected firearms. Welcome to the gulag, comerade!

Parts for prohited handguns are not regulated, at the present time, except for the barrels, so who knows, and overcapacity mags.

I’m going to quite a major news article from today, and you guess if banning parts is their next agenda…

The suspect in three homicides carried out in less than 24 hours in Montreal and Laval this week was reportedly able to assemble a firearm by ordering parts from different vendors online.

Haha, 3D printer go BRRRRRRR

Parts available within Canada.
Parts you know of service/replacement required, I would say get’em while you can.
I was once told to buy even a second gun as backup for parts that are no longer available to resource anymore.
At that time it was ridiculous to me, but after going through a US gun export broker for parts, quickly realized sometimes just buying a second pistol might be a cheaper option.

Parts not available in Canada.
I understand from a money making standpoint from importer/vendor, it is more lucrative to bring in what is expected to sell a lot, and fast.
Throughout the years without loving ever popular polymer-striker fire guns, I often find myself wedged in between rock and the hard places to source needed parts for hammer fired toys/tools.
It is true some guns are record breaking as we talk passing down generations without replacing parts, truly made to last, but realistically parts like recoil springs are better off replacing at 5000-10K rounds of sending bullets down the range.
200 rnd per trip to range x 50 weeks (1 year minus some weeks) quickly reach 10K rounds in 1 year.
Wish importers/vendors to bring in parts and market it as critical parts bundle for pistols they sell or proven to be a best seller in its own category. I am sure many people
who invested money on this sports would go for recommended parts that are necessary for years of stable operation of acquired toys.

On a second notes, US gun export brokers that I dealt with were fast and good service. Only minus was the price. Yes they worked over the weekend and late hours as well…..
Some parts were simply not available to ship to Canada and it came handy and much faster than big name retailers who ships to Canada. Fastest was less than 2 weeks turn around time.

CBSA Customs.
Some of you might remember the Mississauga customs package hold up/ saga for firearms parts back in early spring till May.
Long thread was going with CBSA wait time…... .Luckily mine was held there only for 3 months for no reason.
Others suffered the same or even longer wait.
Then it was moving for a while. Recently noticed 10rnd 22lr Mags from England started to have hiccups at customs for others.
After dealing with many shipments/ parts, if a package has to cross Mississauga, I would look other vendors in different state for faster border clearing. Montreal was the fastest and Richmond was also fast. Thing to note is Mississauga never even opened a single package or apply duties. Others, yes opened, inspected and duty applied.

One day Canada will be in need of defending. With current world situation it might be sooner than later. They will beg us to pickup arms but to be honest I am not sure that I will. When other countries prepare Canada is disarming its lawful Citizens. Many of us will remember that when the time comes...

Historically the liberal party and the Catholic Church have viewed pistols as far back as 1934. It was under direct political pressure from the liberal/church based in Quebec that led to the initial registration. All because they feared the communist party was seen as such a threat, now only if they were alive to see the libs adapting communist practices.

So just yesterday national news is claiming that the shooter built his gun from legally acquired parts… making the implication that the shooter had his gun license.

Todays update… glad the police in this country are at least tired of the government and medias bull#### agenda.

Quebec police say the gun used to kill three people in the Montreal area this week was acquired illegally.
Provincial police spokeswoman Genevieve Gagnon says 26-year-old Abdulla Shaikh, who is suspected of killing the three men at random, did not have a firearms license.

I currently have a Brownells G19 long slide, barrel combo plus completion parts sitting in Richmond waiting for CBSA approval. Has been with them since the 3rd. The parts where back ordered since June hopefully they get approved.

According to Joly, handguns are are threat to national security now. Ridiculous!

she is out to lunch, these people will spew all kinds of crap....they know nothing about how this country was built, and sacrifices people have made!!! I am ashamed!!!!

Actually all firearms are a national security threat if you understand what comes next in their plans.........

Now if you state this in a thread in OT where a certain arrogant member who called me a "psychopath" hangs out, they will likely ask you, "What comes next?". They did that previously in their f'n normal arrogant manner of playing dumb.

Honestly I never expect to see that under a Lib govt should an invasion occur. They would be far too worried about the firearms being turned against them than used to defend against an enemy.

At this point I would be sitting back enjoying the show if an invasion were to occur.

On a related note: I had an online argument with an arrogant Lib d*ck about the only reason the Soviets did not invade across the Arctic during the Cold War was because of our proximity to the USA. He stated that they never had such intentions so I was blowing BS. Well, ffs of course they had no such intentions because of what I just told the ignorant c**t.

There is only one way for a Lib to actually understand the factual point of view the rest of us hold.......

Even if they don't ban parts, parts will inevitably become more scare has demand dwindles and there's less retailers that are stocking them. I would buy whatever you can get your hands on today, 5 years from now you may have nothing left.
