They should try and hire an importer , pay
all of the cost’s, duty and exchange rate’s .Then you will see why they cost more than

It’s good practice to keep some parts handy, regardless if it’s a gun, a vehicle, a tool or what not. Easier to have parts on hands and not need them than trying to make a spring out of a paperclip or a firing pin with a nail lol

thats weird, my slides and barrels usually get release within an hour after CBSA gets them

I have had items go through pretty much right away in the past as well but have also have had packages spend up to 6 months with the CBSA. CBSA released my package but now Canada Post has no idea where it is. Good Times

Why would you need parts for something that is prohibited? Isn’t that the logic the the government and CBSA use now? They’re already stopping AR parts at the border - even things like handguards and pistol grips that could be used on other unaffected firearms. Welcome to the gulag, comerade!

Handguns are not prohibited firearms though.

I have read that parts for Prohibited Firearms are banned from import, someone posted the legalese months ago, but I can't find it now though. I would really like to give that a read again....

We are part of NATO. Something places like Ukraine and Georgia cannot claim. That is a massive deterrent to any invading army - the fear of Ukraine joining NATO is one of the primary reasons Russia invaded... And thanks to Russian aggression that alliance is only getting stronger as Finland and Sweden look to join.

So any holding more, is over legal capacity.

Can you just make a private purchase from the states? Or was there some hurdles?

The US regulates the export of parts so you need to do it through a company that has an export permit like IRUN guns or Brownells.

Brownells ships to Canada, but max value is $500 USD before you have to get an export permit.

My concern is if CBSA will put the slow wheel one it and return it after the latest attack.
