In case you don't have/can't find bandoliers, I found some (after a good long time):

I highly recommend the SKS Chest Bandoleer.
IMHO it is the Best way to carry 200rnds of 7.62x39 on chargers/strippers.
I'm surprised Marstar doesn't have any listed.

That's a good price.

I find they load best like this:

Once in a while you get a stray left in a pocket when you pull the loaded up charger out, but all in all it is a pretty handy item. :)

chest rig

I got one off ebay a while ago. Good shape but a little stiff and musty. The loop fastners are a pain in the ass though. I replaced mine with metal snap closures that I got at a sewing store... yes that's right I went into a sewing store! You can also use plastic buckles or velcro. Big improvement.

As far as silent opening is concerned... not an improvement. Im thinking if one were to go gopher shooting with a velcro rig, the little guys might hear, look and submerge.

Unless you are spotting and stalking the elusive Richardsons Ground Squirrel with an empty gun, the velcro shouldnt be an issue. Your ghillie suit will probably muffle the sound of the velcro being undone.

Good point, although I always carry my SKS with the bipod extended just in case I need to drop prone and make a kill shot in a dangerous situation. I also carry it with 5 rounds in the mag and one up the pipe, just in case I need to make that 6th follow-up shot on a charging groundhog. Despite the fact that their legs are only 3" long, they can close distance really fast, and you DO NOT want to be mauled by a wounded groundhog!! They're like little bucktoothed tornado's, man!

Its too bad Eagle Ind or FMCO or other companies doesnt make copies of the SKS belt in Cordura with padded shoulder straps? I hate the smell of wet canvas
