i was curious whether the bar mkii were generally reliable rifles? for some reason the thought of a bar mkii in a 338 magnum seems like something ridiculous and fun to own, at least if it runs consistent and is decently accurate.
That will be the next acquisition. A Browning Bar Safari in 338 win mag. Load developing for a BBS in 300 win mag right now.
They are quite accurate and very reliable when clean and copper free.
Very accurate and reliable if taken care of. I have multiple BARs and have never had a issue. I clean then once a year (if they get used) after the hunting season and never had a malfunction/jam.
I have a Belgium made BAR 30-06 and quite like it!! As for availability, I think Tradex have some in stock!

thanks for the update, i think 9.3 would be a great caliber. i've looked all over the internet for 9.3 mkii's and had no luck finding any info, so this is good.
