I recently bought a used Browning BAR, my dad had one and I figured it was time for me to get one. I bought this rifle used, it looks like it spent a decade in someones safe, not a scratch on it. I wanted the best of both worlds, big boy magnum and keeping my shoulder in one piece.
I am hoping someone has had some experience with which ammo type and grain works best in this autoloader. I have read some quibbling about the magnum caliber BAR's not ejecting the spent rounds properly with HE loads.
I was considering using Federal Vital Shock 210 grain Nosler Partition ammo for moose.
Any thoughts?
