Hmmmm i have a Belgium bar in 30-06 and I was thinking of maybe getting it rebarreled in 9.3x62… I wonder how easy of a job it would be and who would be the best to tackle something like that?
Thanks

You would need to find a fairly special smith to do that job, but as far as function goes, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Even older BAR'S without an adjustable gas block can be easily modified to be adjustable, and the case shapes are very close.
Many will question, "WHY?". It makes no sense economically, but what really does about this sort of stuff?
Guys invest 5 g's in an outfit that pokes holes in paper. Hmmm. Makes perfect financial sense to me!
A custom barreled 9.3 BAR? Cool!

Not sure if they can/would do it, but you could try firing K&S in Edmonton a query. Or you could just buy a BAR in 9.3X62, little rare here, but I have one, and have seen others for sale in the EE, usually for the price of a rebarrelling. Or since they sold/sell 9.3X62 BARs in Europe for a long time, you could look for a barrel for one. Browning may be able to supply you with a factory barrel, if not Browning Europe might, or a European dealer possibly.

I started this cause I saw a post on facebook about M1 garant in 9.3x62…. But really I was thinking out loud lol
