Well I'm new here and just thought I would post up my first on a great Toronto Sportsman show deal I picked up Wedsnesday from LeBaron. I was looking for a varmint scope for a new 2 me .243 Sako and had done some reading about all brands of optics from Zeiss & Leupold to Bushnell, Tasco and the like and each of their pros and cons.

While at the show I spotted a package scope deal from Tasco on a 6-24x42 with objective parallax adjustment plus two shooting rest bags for get this, only $89! I was somewhat skeptical as the price was quite low but years ago I had a 3-9x32 Tasco that I hunted hard with for 10+ years and even after a slip and hard fall on ice and scraping the paint and eyepiece it still held its zero and fog/waterproof features! On this basis I figured well why not give it a try cause really with bags included what money could I really be wasting?

Mounted it up Wed night and got it to the range today and here's what happened. No bore sighter so first shot 3" low and 3" left at 25yds so moved it about 36 1/4 MOA clicks up and right and second shot 1/2" low and 1/2" left so then 8 clicks up and to the right and then the 3rd shot at 100 yds bang right in the 1/2 inch bullseye with Hornady Varmint Express 58gr loads!!! I tell you was I impressed with this scopes tracking, clarity and the parallax adjustment which also seems to work very well.

Finished up with a few more to fine tune the settings and man I can't wait to get back to the range for some more target shooting with my 13 year old son and then we are going to lay the smackdown on some local coyote's that have become a nuisance around here!

I know that there may be more expensive scopes that may have better clarity/quality but for the money I saved with this Tasco my son and I will have tons more practice and hunting ammo cause a great scope is useless without practice and some good shooting ability! Just my 2 cents thanks LeBaron & Tasco!
