There is about... 200 in accessories at most (in used prices) + about $100 (being generous here) for the ammo... how the hell did he come up with $1000 total!!!???

AND it's a chinese SKS, too...

some people, eh.

Duckbill mags and cheap-ass laser sights - that should DETRACT from the value. That is worth at MOST $350 (in my opinion). I would take a bone stock SKS over that any day of the week.

There is always a guy trying to find a sucker that dosn't know his prices.In our lower mainland Buy and sell someone is selling SKS's, bought at Lever arms, for 199, to some fool for 399.Lots of over priced garbage, so I can sell my guns easily for a fair price.No shipping hassles to worry about.
 
Hell, you could buy 5 Russkies from Lever or Frontier at that price! No offense to anyone, but why would you want to mutate a perfectly functional, simple and classical firearm such as the SKS? It's not an assault or sniper rifle, it's meant for short range combat and IMO, dressing up this rifle to make it look more tactical is just plain silly. Again, this is my opinion only-I don't mean to piss anyone off.
Either way, at $1000, I think this guy is dreaming......

I agree with Canuchlehead.
We need to keep our eyes on this kind of ugly thing and inform our members as well as friends who are not on the board. Don't let those s****rs ruin the community of gun owners and shooting sport.

I know this seller and he does very good work- modifyimg and selling all kinds of guns. Dont listen to all the group/ ban wagon / sheep heard thinkers- The name of the game is MONEY, and obviously all these nay sayers aint payin your bills- So good job man, I hope the sale works out for ya... So the guy is asking too much. It's not life and death, if it was half the used car salesmen in Canada would be behind bars. But who really GAF - if you don't like it, don't buy it. It ain't rocket science.

SPARTAN- the name of the game in all walks of life is MONEY... This includes even firearms- All you gotta do is some very simple research to find out that the WAR MACHINE is ultimately the biggest money making agent in the world. I dont know where you get your ideas, but here in reality thats the facts man..... Or maybe you have a way to pay bills with peanut butter cookies- If so, please let me know... Thank you.

The point that I was trying to convey is that not all of us are into firearms 'for the money.' thats all.

Changing the stock and mounting some crap on a rifle is not 'gunsmith' type stuff. Anyone with a 5th grade education could 'modifyimg' that SKS.

I have no issue with anyone charging whatever they want for garbage, but don't expect people with 1/2 a brain to pay that kind of money for a de-valued SKS.

How is commenting on the overpriced nature of this abortion of a firearm 'sheep heard (sic)' thinking? Your 'buddy' (you?) is a fool if he thinks that gun is 'worth' $1000. It will not sell.

Since you know about this site (and you write a comment to your 'buddy' in your post), why isn't he listing it for sale in the EE here? Far more customers than on buy-sell. The reason? He KNOWS he will get ripped on this forum because everyone KNOWS it's a piece of junk for $1000.

Whatever - he can try to sell it for 3x it's value, but it ain't gonna sell.
 
while i agree with most of you that the price is excessive and there is nothing special about the modification . CGN policy do no objection to its selling price if it were to list here .

its good that you want to warn newbies but ultimately its buyer beware.

nothing more can be said .... locked .
