Anyone have experience with both of these bullets? I bought some 150 TTSX to load in 7PRC and am thinking maybe I should've gone with the 168 LRX instead. I know they're close in numbers. The Barnes tech I spoke with said those 2 bullets in particular both open 1.7x down to 1500 fps. Initially I was thinking the LRX wouldn't stabilize given my 1:8.5" twist but after checking the numbers again in the JBM calculator they should be fine.

They stated the ttsx would open to 1500? That's surprising to me. If they have similar bc and you're not shooting elr I would go 150ttsx and push it fast. I would think with that case capacity 3400ish should be doable with the 150

Yeah, that surprised me as well. I think in general the LRX is advertised to open down to 1600 fps while the TTSX to around 1800 fps. He said it really varies by individual bullet design and caliber though. Of the 7mm ones I asked about he said:
139 LRX 1400fps min
145 LRX 1600fps min
168 LRX 1500fps min
150 TTSX 1500fps min

Ha ! Not sure that you know that the 7 PRC holds about 3 grs LESS than a 7 REM Mag ! So 3400 fps ??? Not a chance EVER ! RJ

And that’s a really HOT load ! I have a 7 STW and a 7-300 WBee . So I know .;) RJ
I have owned 7 rifles in 7mmstw, all with 26" barrels, some would top out at 3400fps with a 140gr, and some would do 3400fps with a 150, with no pressure signs. The 1 in 10" twist barrels, seem to produce more velocity than the 1 in 9" twist rifles.

Did some testing today. 69.1 gr of H1000 gets to 3080 fps with the 168 LRX. No pressure signs but the powder is getting a bit compressed so can't go much more anyway. Seems to stabilize ok
