Barnes Burner performance

Hey guys, how many of you are using Barnes Burners and how do you find they perform versus other match type bullets? Has anyone shot critters with them and how did that turn out?

I spoke to one guy who shoots in the PRA and he's using the 171's in his 7 Practical and loves them. Wondering what any of you can add.

I tried the 155 gr match burners. They shot ok at 100m after bumping my usual 155gr load up another grain. They did not shoot very well for me at long range. Back to 155 gr Lapua's this year.

Thanks Maynard. I've been shooting 168 VLD's in my .284 with good results but was just curious about the Burners since this fella I talked to spoke so highly of them. That, and they're considerably cheaper than the VLD's.......
