Hi I've got a quick question about barnes factory ammo. I saw something different on the barnes that I've never noticed on other factory ammo. The barnes seems to have a red ring around the primer. Is this some kind of special primer or is it a sealant to waterproof the ammo? I've never noticed anything like this with federal remington winchester or hornady. Is it a sealant or is it just aesthetic. Also if they feel it necessary to seal the primer does that mean reloading these cases could be problematic? I've never read anything about sealing primers.
