Barnes Spit fires in a Savage ML

Are the sabots found wit the Barnes Spitfire bullets capable of handling the smokeless powder used in the Savage ML's ?
If not can anyone recommend what sabot to use ?

Haven't tried the Barnes combo so can't help there. I use the MMP sabots which Savage recommends. They perform very well with 250 gr Hornady and N110 powder.

According to Chuck Hawkes the Barnes is in fact an MMP sabot.

Why bother? Nothing shoots better from a Savage MLII than an MMP black sabot with a 250 gr Hornady XTP and 42 gr of 4759.....
