Barnes Triple Shock

Some of them will that's for sure. I'm still using the 140 TSX in one of my STWs, mostly because its a bit picky about what it'll shoot.Other bullets will put deer on the ground faster in my experience, but they do work.
My first STW got put together about 20 years ago, or whenever Simpson wrote that first article. For the most part it's been my "main" caliber ever since. I've taken to shooting everything through the shoulders when using the TSX in any caliber. I must be around 50 animals with that bullet in various calibers now.

I'm not overly thrilled with the 140 TSX in my STW, as far as terminal performannce is concerned. It sure is an accurate little sucker though.

The TSX isn't known for being a killing bullet, people like it for its other great characteristic like reliable expansion, holds up well at high velocities and minimize meat damage. A better choice for terminal performance in my experience would be the Partition or Accubond. But I'm sure you already knew that...;)

I actually find that the TSX has been producing quicker kills that the Partition in the cartridges that I use. They do however, tend to produce less desirable results,if you use too heavy of a bullet ,which results in lower velocity.

I have always found they are great all round bullets, but they certainly don't drop deer sized animals as fast as lots of other more frangible bullets. That being said I wouldn't want to look at a deer shoulder shot with a ballistic tip fired at 3500 fps.

Roger that. I'm working up a lot of enthusiasm for A-Frames too.Truth to be told, I used plain old Hornady interlocks in the STW for years, and had no problem with deer, moose and elk. If this barrel would shoot them,
I'd switch back.

I can order some in for you.
