Barnes TSX/TTSX - 22-250 Have you tried them ?

Just wondering if you had tried them and if so what weight did you shoot and what twist is your barrel ?

According to Barnes you need a 1-12" to shoot a 53 gr. TSX I have 1-14" twist and can shoot regular 60 gr. bullets....is the 53 gr. that long ?

Previous owner has also used 53 gr. X bullets which I imagine is the same lenght ?

Years ago I killed a 3 point mule dear with 1 shot to the neck with my left handed Rem mod 591M converted from 5mm mag to 22K Hornet. The distance was 150yds and I was useing old 50gr Barnes X bullet and 16" twist barrel. I still have that bullet, perfect x mushroom and 100% retained weight. Is the new ttsx that much longer? I bet that the new one traveling 1000fps faster in 14"twist would have no problem with stabilisation. Go at it, give it a spin.

thanks, Matt, Ill try and find out are long those bullets are. I guess the 50 gr. TSX would be a better bet as gunrunner mentioned.
