I was wondering if any of you guys had experience loading and shooting the barnes ttsx 6.5mm 120 grain rounds? If you could share how they performed and on which size of game.

Thanks

They are an excellent bullet on everything up to and including moose... What caliber are you shooting them from???

I've shot three mulies with the 6.5 120gr out of my .260 Rem. Two with the TSX and one with the TTSX. All three were bang-flops, even with hearth/lung shots. It's the only bullet I hunt with out of my .260. Check out the 6.5 bullets test sticky above for some results.

Not ttsx but close - Federal 260 120gr tsx tipped my cow elk over at 265 yards last season, she ran about 40-50 yards and started wobbling so I sent one more as insurance. 2 holes 2 inches apart middle of the lungs, which were mush.
Pretty good for the wife's deer gun.

I loaded 120gr TTSX in a custom Rem 700 260, very accurate! I never did take any game with it but I would not hesitate to do so on critters up to elk/moose. I tried the 127gr LRX last summer in another 260, again with great accuracy. No game reports yet but I do not doubt the end result of a Barnes bullet in the vitals

It's out of a 6.5x284 Norma. I've looked for the lrx but can't find them anywhere. That sticky above is very cool. I was hoping someone would have experience with a shot elk or moose. I normally use a 140 grain vld, but haven't taken anything at with that either.

Out of a 6.5-284 you will have no problem hunting everything from coyotes to moose with that bullet.
