Has anyone tried these yet?

I was reading a bit about them and couldn't find any actual tests.

The 'plus' is the fact they're about half the cost of the Vmax... going for $18 per 100 at whole sale.

I think they've been discontinued in favour of the new 'varmint grenade' bullets.

In my experience, NOTHING performs as well as the VMAX bullets. The lightweight Nosler BT's and Hornady SPSX come close, and the Varmint grenade isn't bad. The Speer TNT's nowhere nearly as explosive, and I haven't tried the old varminator

They are discontinued now. I stocked up last spring and haven't seen to many in the stores since this summer.
The 72 grain, .243 dia shoot really well out of my .243 Win.
upper-end charge of H-414 gets 3300 fps and consistant 3/4" groups

Barnes introduces and discontinues several generations of new products faster than they can even get them listed in their load manuals.

I heard they suck, but cannot confirm as I havent bought any yet

a crap, I read the original post wrong - thought it said Varmint Grenades

Ive shot quite a bit of the 22 cal 40 grain Varminators, and found them to be an accurate bullet in both 223 and 221 fireball. I have a box of 72 grain 243 but havent shot any yet
