Barnes "Varmint Grenades" video...HOLY!

Looks interesting, but I think shot placement would be critical on coyotes with a bullet like that.

ok thats just nasty lol.

see them gophers gibb. man thats gross lol.

wonder if they make them in .30 cal.

at 22 hornet velocities, they're nothing special. They work OK, but don't hold a candle to the VMAX. I'll try some in the 223 this summer, and hopefully some 204 cals as well.

Wrong Way
I shoot the 36grn in my .223 and they will fragment on an empty pop can, I have not shot any p-dogs with them but they kill groundhogs really well. You never have to worry about a riccocet or a pass through as the bullet does not exit. They do not have the same effect on ground hogs due to the size difference, I will try some this summer in the 22-250 to see if the results are any different. They kill foxes and yotes well but I have only made broadside shots as the bullets are not designed to penetrait.
I am planning to video some shots with my 300wby on ground hogs this summer, the results are simular to the barnes video just on a critter about
10x the size. I shoot 110grn v-max @3990fps this load just destroys what ever you hit.

I shot gophers with my .223 this year with them. all I can say is "AWESOME" usually all you find left is the head with the backbone curled up behind it's ears. also no worries of ricochet as they totally fragment.

Have some test loads in progress for the 22-250 right now, data says about 4300-4400 fps. Barnes does make a 150 grain (I think) that is built the same, but have not seen them north of the border.
