Hi all,
starting a project here shortly and looking to buy a barrel blank in 9mm at 0.7" diameter around 19"long, as well as a .311 diameter barrel the same length. I could use a takeoff mosin barrel or enfield barrel if i can find a decent one for cheap, but i can't find a 9mm blank in canada.
Any help would be appreciated.

Green mountain blanks seem to be a pretty premium product at a premium price. I just need a good serviceable blank. nothing match grade...

Keep dreaming then.

Green mountain is OK quality, at a good price. The rest is more expensive. Having pawed through a LOT of barrels at gun shows and in shops, I cannot recall ever seeing a 9mm take-off that would come out long enough for you.
Do the paperwork, check prices at Brownell's. No instant gratification, but sometimes there can be a deal got there.

You trying to build an air gun?

Cheers

Trying to make a non restricted 9mm barrel. I don't believe the USA sees the blank as a barrel until it is chambered, but most places that have blanks in the states just don't deal with Canada. There should be no export permit or any bs required.

Sorry, but rifle barrels/blanks are what they are and on the ITAR list and Green Mountain barrels are not known in the premium or match quality circles.

I also tried years ago to source a cheap 9mm barrel 20" long for a project and gave up. It was a match barrel or nothing.
There just isn't enough 9mm hunting barrels kicking around that are any good.
