Barrel channel rasps

Hi. I'm looking for a supplier. Preferably I was hoping to get a used set but there is no thread in the EE for gunsmithing tools.

I have barrel channel & action scrapers. They work well. I am leaving for Arizona Monday and won't be back until the end of March. If you are still looking then PM me.

if you have access to a cutting torch, you can make scrapers from pieces of scrap high carbon steel. Hammer the end out to a paddle shape, grind and file to the desired contour then harden. Heat red hot and quench followed by reheating to dark brown. automotive coils springs work well or if you are rich, drill rod

You can buy a full set from Brownells for not a lot of money, that's what I did. About 7 in all I think.

For a cheap version, cut off a two inch piece from a round sureform or Lee-valley rasp and epoxy a handle onto it. It will suffice for a couple of channels anyway.
