Barrel cutting question.

Hope y'all dont jump down my throat for repeating question, but I searched and found nothing specific to my question, if you know of a thread i'd be more that happy to check it out but here it goes.

I just bought a Norc 1887.... you know where this is going!

Anyway I want to trim the stock down to a rounded handle.... you know the look!

If possible I want to trim the 22" bbl down to 18.5"

So if I cut the stock down, and the barrel to 18.5" and the OAL stays longer that say 26.5" to be safe is it legal? or should I just leave it alone and buy the same gun for 3x the price already short?

PS: This post is in this section because I figure you guys would know best, it's kind of tactical in a T2 kind of way lol. Mod please move if needed!

Basically turn this...... (my barrel is longer and would need cut)

Into this..... (minus the cut trigger gaurd and weird notch in the stock)

And no, I had no idea when I signed up at CGN my 1600th post would have a gun in it from terminator, kind of ashamed of myself now.

You can't reduce the barrel below 18", or the overall length below 26".

“prohibited firearm” means
(b) a firearm that is adapted from a rifle or shotgun, whether by sawing, cutting or any other alteration, and that, as so adapted,

• (i) is less than 660 mm in length, or
• (ii) is 660 mm or greater in length and has a barrel less than 457 mm in length,

As long as those 2 conditions are met WRT barrel length and OAL, you're fine.
That would end up looking like the Chiappa 1887-T ...18.5" barrel + ~27" OAL.

I guess you've checked how deep the stock bolt goes on the Norc?

As above: Barrel on non-semiauto can be cut to 18". Overal length must stay greater than 26". Good point about the length of the stock bolt, but you should be able to get a replacement fabricated if cutting the stock will make the original non-functional.
