Looking to build or buy a barrel for a specific rail that I have acquired,
maybe someone can point me in the right direction of a dealer?

I have a VLTOR CAS-VM
it requires a midlength gas delta ring and cap assembly to install the rail, (same as a midlength A2 FSB barrel but without the FSB) does this exists with a gasblock instead of FSB?

can I buy a barrel and install the pieces (deltaring snap spring OEM barrel nut end cap ect)?

here is a pic

The Vltor CASV handguard is free floating at the front, so you can use any barrel you want to! The M-designation (Being Mid-Length) means it'll meet up with a Mid-Length gas block or front sight but not cover over it.

If you're looking at getting a similar setup to your picture; you just need to get a stripped barrel of your choice (with a Carbine gas system), get the delta-ring assembly and barrel nut, and a low profile gas block so it'll sit UNDER the handguard.

You want a Carbine gas system so the gas block will be hidden underneath. The CASV-m is a 9" handguard, which is the length of a regular Mid-length handguard between the delta ring and front sight.

The barrel appears to be about a 10" barrel (kind of hard to say without being able to measure it), but based on this Aero Precision Middy handguard and 10.5" barrel; I'd say the one in your pic is a 10":

Canadian Tactical Cowboy Supplies have the delta ring kit and barrel nut in stock

Getting a 10" barrel these days is pretty hard, a 10.5" barrel or Daniel Defense 10.3" would be a touch longer but pretty close, CTCSupplies has Faxxon barrels in 10.5" and Wolverine does have the Daniel Defense 10.3" barrels in (with low profile gas block) but they're quite pricey: https://www.wolverinesupplies.com/P...-Barrel-CMV-CHF-5-56-1-7-10-3--Gov-CAR-w--LPG

Others might be able to chime in and see if you can find a 10" barrel!

Thank you very much for the input!
I didn't know it was free floated at the front.. the inside of the front of the casV looks like it locks into the end cap just like standard A2 hand guards would with a FSB (still in the package while I'm inspecting)

So to confirm what you said above a mid length gas tube + block would line up with the handguard like the photo?
I'm planning on using a 14.5" barrel

What threw me off was thinking this rail needed the front cap assembly to lock in the front of the handguard, but you are saying it's free floated which changes everything

Sorry didn't see you had replied with all the M+M hooplah going on :p

What I meant by a Mid Length gas system lining up: would be the handguard would meet at the BACK of the gas block, so the Mid Length gas block would stick out by 2 inches. You want a Carbine gas system to hide under the handguard!

If you're throwing a 14.5" on there it'll be easy peasy just get a basic 14.5" barrel with a Carbine gas system and you'll be good to go, should look like this:

The little mechanism at the front inside is a quick release so you can take the bottom of the handguard off for cleaning; or to attach an M203 grenade launcher. This is the best picture I could find of the inside, but the gas block isn't touching anything inside at all!
