That does not apply to rifles. Only handguns.

Shortest bbl you can really go is about 4" anyway - since the chamber take some length and you need a bit of standoff from the neck to the gasport.

tekriterMk1 can (or I should say could) give you some data on the short barrelled AR's.

I take it that for home defense (close range) the damage to the perp will be mostly due to 3rd degree burns, that's if you don't just fry him by setting him on fire altogether.

I seem to remember that pepper spray used to be suspended in alcohol, then there was a nasty incident in the States with pepper spray and a Taser. So the concept has at least been tested.

When I re-registered my PS90 going from the 16" barrel to the 10.3" barrel, it dropped the OAL from 26.4" to 20.5".

The CFC said because the OAL was dropped to under 26", I had to fax a copy of the invoice showing the barrel was purchased as a 10", not hacksawed by myself.

Crazy.

So you're not permitted to cut down restricted rifle barrels?
