Barrel life of .223rem and .308win?

Using factory loads, what kind of barrel life can one expect from a .223rem and a .308win in a bolt action rifle (no rapid firing), I mean, when would you notcie a drop off in accuracy and by how much?

Also how much is it typically to replace a heavy barrel up here in Canada for these two calibres, a quality brand of course?

Basically, the slower the cartridge, the longer-lasting the barrel.
The link says that with .223, you can expect 4000 rounds before accuracy drops. 3000 for .308
Note that he means benchrest accuracy. Short-range hunting accuracy should be preserved for longer. Basically, the popular hunting catridges should last much longer than the high-speed varmint and benchrest cartridges.
