Was looking down the barrel and there is a little area in the barrel where it is not completely smooth. Does this affect accuracy or anything?

It is a pretty new shotgun, but I don't really want to go through the hassle of sending it in. No idea how it happened, I think it came from factory like that.

It just looks like a little wrinkle in the metal, barely noticeable. It doesnt stick out, more like a couple tiny dimples, about 1-2 mm in height, maybe 1 cm long area affected. Not deep at all, just enough to notice a wrinkle.

Tried taking a pic but can't see them in the pictures.

If it's a smoothbore shotgun I wouldn't worry too much personally. Also price would matter to me as bad as that sounds, if it is a $500 shotgun no biggie but if I chucked $2000 for it I would expect nothing less than perfection all around. Also I wouldn't think it would affect accuracy too much with bb or buck shot etc but could be wrong.

I would be a little more careful with what you described. If you have a 870 with a area in the barrel that sticks up 1-2mm I would be taking it to a gun smith to check out. That sounds like something is up. If it is an imperfection in the barrel it could be the place it will come apart if it fails. Hope your hands are not close by.
Yes, small imperfections are fine, I have a pitted old 1897 that patterns great, However 1-2mm height x 1 cm long is a huge imperfection. Also, if you are not sure it came from the factory like that, you need to make sure you know what happened to mark up the barrel so you have no repeats.
It is easy to say "no effect" from a keyboard when it is not you fingers on the line.

Give it a shot of solvent or G96, let it sit for 5 min and clean it with a bronze brush, then a patch on the brush. If it is still there take it back.
