Barrel nut wrench

I am looking for a specific barrel nut wrench (Menck 742). I found it at Brownells but they won't ship it outside of the USA.

Does anyone know of any suppliers who do business in Canada?

Any advice is greatly appreciated

You can grind an open end wrench's sides down until it clears the action bars.

Good idea. I am looking for the same wrench. Info I read somewhere said the factory used red loctite on that nut. Anyone know if that is true?

I have seen thread locker on these rifles, but nothing that needed heat to let loose.

The factory does not use red Loctite. The nut is tight though.

Thanks for the info. The rifle I am working on has extraction issues due to an obstruction of some sort at the end of the neck area in the chamber. That's causing a neck pinch that is visible on the brass. Trimming back the brass about 15 thou solves the problem. I suspect a chunk of brass has become lodged there and a brush isn't getting it out. The gunsmiths around here have not been any help for various reasons. Seems no one wants to work on these due to their reputation alone. This old 742 carbine is in great condition and is quite a shooter for it's short barrel.
