What seems to be the best bang for your buck in custom barrels? Im looking at a future project and doing some number crunching. Im not looking to cheap out but not looking to spend money just for a name. Im looking for a
26" 1 in 12 in .224 stainless fluted.

Cheers!!

Scott r,
Most of the top barrels are quite comparable in price. Gaillard's might save you a few bucks over some of the top American names, without giving up anything. Of course 'round these parts, Gaillard is a "name"! A benefit is that you can get him to install it while you're at it. If you are serious about saving money consider skipping the fluting. It doesn't do much besides look cool. Is this your Swift that you are redoing?

No Hotlinking to non CGN sponsering businesses. SKBY.

Thanks for the info. Im not looking at rebarreling real soon but just want to know what the approx costs are. I expected barrels to be alot more then what Gaillards prices are, good news.
Yes this will be for the swift when she needs a new pipe.:)

Cheers!!

if you're worried about the throat eroding...you can probably take a Remington VSSF barrel back an inch, maybe more before you run out of shoulder....I think you'll be shooting a long time before you have a 25" Swift:D
