Barrel Questions for Deer

Evening All:

I have an 870 Express Magnum in synthetic black and I am looking for a good after market barrel & scope combo for this gun. Unfortunately I don't know much about the options that are out there.

I've been looking around a number of guns shops and I keep seeing the Remington kits with the scope included. Are these any good? Is there anything better that would work with the 870.

Yes I've done the Google search but would like some real world advice on this.

I would buy a used barrell from a gun show, then use the money you saved a buy a better scope, normally the scopes on those combos are junk.
