Anybody know who, if anyone, in Canada may be setup to rebore and or ream an existing .50 rifled barrel to a .54 (28 gauge) smoothbore ?
Or even just opening it up (reaming) to the .506 lands making a 50 smoothbore ?
Not having much luck in my search…
Thanks

Only person I know that deals with muzzleloader barrels is bobby Hoyt down in the states.

Likely any of the good Canadian barrel makers could do it for you. Have you Googled any of them?

It would likely be cheaper to just buy a new barrel in the long run.

Still working on contacting some of them …..most wanna rebore & rerifle, not many want to bother with shotgun barrel reamers and finishing as it would seem 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s a very specific size barrel and taper, half oct half round…and already nicely fitted to a full length stock…abit more involved then slapping on a new barrel sadly 🥲
Got lots of rifled .50’s but no smaller smoothbores….hence my dilemma 😜

I’m looking at building myself a .50/32ga smooth bore currently probably going to make my own lock aswell either from scratch or salvaged parts.

Rather have to find a piece of rock then look for primers is my thoughts.
