I have a beautiful old hex barreled l894 Winchester rifle ( not carbine ) that is tight as a tick and no cracks in the stocks but the bore has been neglected and in poor shape. What is the feasiblity of relining the barrel and the cost. Is it worth it? Thanks, Alex.

You did not state the calibre....this is important in judging whether it is a candidate for a barrel liner......also, what is it's collector value as is? Re-lining will pretty well remove it's collector value completely......

The calibre is important. There are liners available for .25-35, .30, .32-40 and .38-55 from Track of the Wolf. w ww.trackof the wolf.com. Can't suggest someone to do the job. It is possible to install a liner so that it does not show at the muzzle. Reboring could be an option as well. Whether a liner would significantly reduce collector value, I cannot say. The cost would not be insignificant.

Thanks for the prompt replies, fellas. It is .30 WCF (30.30) and aside from slight surface rusting it is VG. I have a couple more 94's so I might just wall hang it as a piece of history. All the best, Alex.
