so im nearly decided on every aspect of my build :

Blue line lower, stag guts, dlask 701 upper.......

my one issue I am having is choosing barrel size. I was original going to go with the dlask mini moose, but the 8.5" barrel I find is to small so I am on the fence between an 11.5" barrel or a 14" barrel.

I dont't like the look of tiny barrels on AR's and when I try to look up pics online I find that it is very hard to judge how big the overall length is.

Does anyone have any experience or access to a large amount of pics of AR's with barrel sizes?

I have looked on the AR forum in the pic section but I find the vast majority do not tell you their barrel length.

I'm running a 10.5" .223 Wylde, White Oak Armament barrel on my recent AR and absolutely love it. It's short but long enough that I can still run a mid-length free float on it and keep the real estate.

I wouldn't say that it's the most common or most popular length going... but it's the barrel I'll be running on all my AR's now.

Ive owned a 14.5, 16, 18, and a 10.5.

The 10.5" LMT I have now is the tits! Its super compact, and have gone with a low-profile gas block to put a 9" rail on it.

Its a nice compact unit that performs extremely well (in terms of punching paper of course!)

My vote is for the 10.5....but NO shorter than that!
