Barrel Soldering

Anyone recommend someone to solder(?) the bottom lug(?) back on an 870 barrel?
Mine broke and I would like to fix this.

The part that holds the barrel to the magazine tube. Not sure of the name.

You will have to get someone weld it, solder wouldn't hold any pressure.

The lug is induction brazed on to the barrel. They can be silver-soldered back; it does affect the blueing in the area.

Have you tried contacting Remington to see if they might repair it as a "good will" warranty?

It's not remington. Chinese. Go figure.

Be careful on the amount of heat used esp. if using acetylene as some of the metal, is made from recycled rice fibres and produces a smell somewhat similar to some restuarants, and an hour later, you'll want to do it again.
