Ended up with a Bullberry bawrill for my TC G6.
It's stamped 44sp and not sure iff'in it needs the 444, 44-40 or 44mag addition.

I do reload and shoot both the last two in the above typing.
Is it just a simple matter of ahh bit oh ream'in or more complicated?

Interior B.C., whom would you suggest do the alteration?

Cheers.

Moi.

44sp dia: 0.429" 15,500 psi max
44-40 dia: 0.427" 22,000 psi max. The case not quite similar to the 44. The rim is larger too.
44mag dia: 0.429" 36,000psi max

if you can prove that the barrel can take it, then just ream it :)

If it's 44 special, you can load it with 44 mag dies. Starline makes the brass.
It's a capable hunting cartridge in a handgun. Elmer keith used it a lot, and that led to his involvement in the development of the 44 magnum. In a carbine, it would be a great close range big game cartridge. You could have it reamed to 44 mag, but I'd be inclined to use it as is.

Cheers,
Stomp.
